Im new - what should I book? If you’re new, I recommend starting with: • Aura Signature Cut for haircuts. • Aura Color Refresh or Aura Dimensional Color for color services. If you’re unsure, feel free to reach out via text—I’m happy to guide you to the right service.
Do you take walk-ins? I am appointment-only. This ensures that every guest receives my full, undivided attention and a calm, private environment.
How does your gender-free pricing work? At Aura, hair has no gender. My pricing is based on time, technique, and the complexity of the service, not on gender identity. Every guest receives the same level of care and transparency.
Do you offer trims or quick haircuts? All haircuts are booked under Aura Signature Cut. Whether you’re maintaining your shape or making a bigger change, every cut includes a consultation, wash, precision cut, and styled finish to ensure consistency and quality at every visit.
Why is your pricing all-inclusive? My pricing reflects the full value of the experience—my time, expertise, premium non-toxic products, and custom treatments. There are no add-on fees, no extra bowl charges, and no pressure to upgrade. Everything needed for your hair’s health is already included.
What kind of enhancements are included in my visit? My goal is to provide a complete, restorative experience. Depending on your needs and your time block, you can choose from brow or facial waxing, hair tinsel, semi-permanent tooth gems, and customized scalp treatments. What if I don’t want the enhancements? Enhancements (like waxing or tooth gems) are optional and available within your scheduled time block. If you choose not to use them, the service price remains the same, as it reflects the time and experience I have reserved for you.
Can enhancements be saved for another visit? Enhancements are only available during your scheduled appointment and cannot be transferred or saved for future visits.
What products do you use? I am proud to be the only studio in West Virginia featuring Innersense Organic Color. I exclusively use non-toxic, low-odor, and high-performance products selected to support both hair health and sensory comfort.
Does non-toxic color last as long as traditional color? Absolutely. Innersense is professional-grade and provide long-lasting, vibrant results and excellent grey coverage while actually improving the integrity of your hair over time.
Will I smell harsh fumes? No. I have curated a clean-air environment. Because I use ammonia-free and non-toxic products, you won’t encounter the harsh chemical odors common in traditional salons.
What if I have sensory sensitivities? Your comfort is part of the service. After booking, I will send you a questionnaire where you can share preferences.
Can I bring a friend or child to my appointment? To maintain a calm, one-chair sanctuary and a low-sensory environment, I ask that you attend your appointment alone. This ensures my undivided focus is on you.
Do you offer maintenance or bang trims between visits? Yes. Returning clients who have had a full-priced service within the last 6–8 weeks may schedule one complimentary 15-minute maintenance visit. This is limited to fringe (bangs) or hairline clean-ups.
Do you accept tips? I am a gratuity-free studio. The listed price reflects the full value of your service—no tipping is expected.
What is your cancellation and late policy? Life happens, and I truly understand. However, as a one-chair studio, my time is reserved exclusively for you. • Cancellations: I kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for any changes to your appointment. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may result in a 50% cancellation fee. • No-Shows: Guests who do not arrive for their appointment without notice will be subject to a 100% charge of the booked service. • Late Arrivals: If you are running late, please let me know as soon as possible. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, we may need to adjust your service or reschedule to ensure I can give every guest my full, undivided attention. This policy ensures I can maintain a calm, one-on-one sanctuary and respect the time of every person who walks through my door.
